2 Timothy 1:11-12 King James Version (KJV)
11 Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles.
12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.
2 Timothy 1:11-12
ECB 11 whereto I am placed - a preacher and an apostle and a doctor of the goyim. 12 For which cause I also suffer these: yet I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have trusted and am convinced that he is able to guard what I surrender to him to that day.

11 Paul was called for this at his conversion on the road to Damascus. Paul was called to bring the gospel to the Gentiles. We also see how Paul corrects those that he led to the faith and teaches them the right way to live as Christians. Paul was used to set up churches in areas that had not heard the gospel before; the church today would be vastly different if it was not for the Lord using Paul.
12 Paul knew that him serving the Lord was the reason he suffered but he not intention of stopping but plan to serve in spite of the suffering. Paul had more faith in the Lord than the hurt the world can bring. Paul knew that the worst the world could do was kill him but thru Christ he truly knew how to live. Paul knew that as long as the Lord had a plan to use him that the world could not stop His plan and Paul was focused on keeping His plans.
