2 Timothy 1:3-5 King James Version (KJV)
3 I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day;
4 Greatly desiring to see thee, being mindful of thy tears, that I may be filled with joy;
5 When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also.
2 Timothy 1:3-5
Rotherham 3 Grateful, am I, unto God,—unto whom I am rendering divine service from my progenitors in a pure conscience, that, incessant, hold I the remembrance, concerning thee, in my supplications; day and night, 4 longing to see thee, being mindful of thy tears,—in order that, with joy, I may be filled: 5 A reminder, having received, of the unfeigned faith, that is in thee,—such, as dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and in thy mother Eunice,—I am persuaded, moreover, that [it dwelleth], in thee also.

3 To keep other in prayer is important it is showing we truly care for one another, sometimes the best thing we can do for one another is pray for other. We should keep thanking the Lord for what He has done for us. Paul served the same Lord Moses and David and Abraham and Jacob did.
4 Paul and Timothy were so close. Paul was proud of the man Timothy had become. Tears sometimes are for sadness but also sometimes tears of joy which it is uncertain. Timothy brought a joy to Paul, the fellowship they had cheered up Paul.
5 Paul knew Timothy was true to the faith and had a passion for the Lord. Paul knew Timothy’s family this shows they closeness. Timothy had a good upbringing.
