2 Timothy 4:9-11 King James Version (KJV)
9 Do thy diligence to come shortly unto me:
10 For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia.
11 Only Luke is with me. Take Mark, and bring him with thee: for he is profitable to me for the ministry.
2 Timothy 4:9-11 Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)
Final Instructions
9 Make every effort to come to me soon, 10 for Demas has deserted me, because he loved this present world, and has gone to Thessalonica. Crescens has gone to Galatia, Titus to Dalmatia. 11 Only Luke is with me. Bring Mark with you, for he is useful to me in the ministry.

9 Paul wanted a friendly face; he wanted to see his friends because he didn’t know how much longer he would have. We may not relate to that fact that he was about to die for the faith but we can relate to wanting to get together with friends and loved ones.
10 Demas left because he wanted the world, this is sad the faith and following the Lord was to much for him, many people still do what he did today and leave rather then keep following the Lord. We need to love Jesus more then anything. Crescens and Titus both seem to have went to further serve and Paul may have sent them and im sure if he didn’t encouraged them to go.
11 Luke stayed, Paul needed someone to stay and aid him, Luke was the man God called to do this, and Luke would learn so much form Paul because of this time. Mark the man Paul didn’t want to serve with now he is asking for, he maybe wanting to make things right, if they hadn’t already but wants to see him and wants his help now, when he didn’t earlier. God don’t want us to hold grudges against fellow Christians.
